8. Atchafalaya Basin Sea Kayaking, Louisiana - The Atchafalaya Basin, the surrounding plain of the river, is filled with bayous, bald cypress swamps, and marshes that give way to more brackish conditions and end in the Spartina grass marshes, near and at where it meets the Gulf of Mexico.
 

9. Isle Royale Sea Kayaking, Michigan - The largest island in Lake Superior, all of which is a national park. Isle Royale is over 50 miles in length and is accompanied by multiple smaller islands, particularly on its northeast end. Isle Royale is a part of the state of Michigan and was once the site of a fishing industry and resort community. It is known for its wolf and moose populations.

 

10. 1000 Islands, Cocoa Beach. Florida - The Thousand Islands are a group of natural and modified mangrove islands in the Banana River Lagoon, Cocoa Beach in Brevard County, Florida. These islands are the relict shoals of a Flood Tide Delta Deposit left behind when an inlet was formed.
