Most Expensive Zip Codes in USA

According to Forbes Magazine, California & New York dominate the list of the most expensive zip codes in the United States. The annual ranking shows that 23 of the top 25 came from one of these two states. The only other two states on the list were New Jersey and Maryland. Toping the list was 91008, which includes the city of Duarte California, which is located in Los Angeles County, about 10 miles east of Pasadena. The Forbes list is easily skewed as it only looks at the list price of homes available for sale and it tends to favor small markets where a particularly expensive home can skew the entire average, as was the case with Duarte. The second most expensive zip code was 94027, which covers Atherton California in Silicon Valley. Third on the list was 90274 for Rolling Hills California, located near Fresno. The top three New York zip codes were all located in New York City (10014, 10065, 10012). The median home price for the top 25 markets ranged from 2.7 million to 4.3 million. Probably the most famous zip code, 90210 (Beverly Hills) came in at #6.
