Grand Canyon National Park
The Grand Canyon's El Tovar opened in 1905 and was most recently renovated
in 2005. In the past, the Hotel has hosted such luminaries as Theodore
Roosevelt, Albert Einstein, Western author Zane Grey, and many others.
Today, El Tovar retains its elegant charm. Located on the Canyon rim, it
features a fine dining room (open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner), lounge
and curio shop with newsstand. El Tovar offers its guests Concierge,
turn-down and room service and is a Registered National Historic Landmark.
Phantom Ranch
Phantom Ranch is a comfortable oasis nestled at the bottom of the Grand
Canyon.It is tucked in beside Bright Angel Creek on the north side of the
Colorado River and is the only lodging facility below the Canyon rim.
The Ranch can only be reached by mule, by foot, or by rafting the Colorado
River and is a popular stop-over point for hikers and mule riders traveling
to the bottom of the Canyon via the famous Bright Angel or Kaibab trails.
Open year-round. The ranch was designed by architect Mary E. J. Colter and
completed in 1922. The rustic cabins and main lodge are built of wood and
native stone and do not intrude on the natural beauty and solitude of the
setting. Overnight accommodations at Phantom Ranch consist of dormitory
spaces and cabins. Cabins and dormitories are heated and cooled during the
summer months.
El Portal Sedona Luxury Inn

Mather Campground
Mather campground is massive and set out very well. All sites appear to be
level and the facilities are very good, all be it pay for use. Stock up on
quarters and remember to have everything ready when you put the quarters in
the slot for the shower as it starts your time from the moment they are
inserted so if your still clothed, it is costing money. Nice stay and great
vibe, the Grand Canyon is breathtaking.
Bright Angel Lodge
& Cabins
Bright Angel Lodge, designed in 1935, has a natural, rustic character, and
is a Registered National Historic Landmark. Designed by famed architect Mary
Elizabeth Jane Colter (Mary E. J. Colter), it has always been a popular
place to stay and the center of South Rim activity. Located just a few feet
from the Canyon rim, Bright Angel Lodge is the check-in point for the world
famous Grand Canyon Mule Rides.

Guests of The Grand Hotel enjoy gateway access to Grand Canyon National
Park, the entrance to the park is just one mile away, and a variety of
recreational activities. The lodge, built in 1998, features classic
architecture and decor with rustic timber, western ironwork, and immense log
beams. A central lobby with a towering stone fireplace invites good books,
lively games of checkers, and inquisitive conversations with travelers from
around the world. The nearby grand piano inspires guests to play their
favorite tunes and sing along. You might even enjoy a spontaneous guitar and
fiddle jam session going on in the lobby. The Canyon Star Restaurant and
Saloon is on-site and features Western-style decor with nightly
entertainment including Native American Dancers and live music. The Canyon
Star serves a wide variety of foods ranging from hearty steaks to
southwestern specialties.
Thunderbird Lodge
Conveniently located between El Tovar and Bright Angel Lodge, Thunderbird is
a contemporary lodge. Located on the Canyon rim, half of the rooms at the
Thunderbird Lodges have partial canyon views. All of the rooms are ideally
suited for families. Rooms have two queen beds or one king bed, in-room
coffee, refrigerator, safe, television, telephone, and full bath. Rooms
designed for guests with physical disabilities are available.
Kachina Lodge
Conveniently located between El Tovar and Bright Angel Lodge, Kachina is a
contemporary lodge. Located on the Canyon rim, half of the rooms at the
Kachina Lodge have partial canyon views. All of the rooms are ideally suited
for families. Rooms have two queen beds or one king bed, in-room coffee,
refrigerator, safe, television, telephone, and full bath. Rooms designed for
guests with physical disabilities are available.
Maswik Lodge
Maswik Lodge is a modern facility spread over several acres of Ponderosa
Pine forest, located just 1/4 mile from the canyon's edge. Maswik Lodge
features a cafeteria that is open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Here you will
also find a sports bar with a wide screen TV, a curio shop stocked with
handicrafts and gifts, and a transportation/activities desk. Maswik South
rooms are motel-style rooms with two queen beds, a full bath, telephone, and
television. Room sizes vary somewhat between the north and south sections of
the lodge.
Yavapai Lodge
Yavapai Lodge is Grand Canyon National Park Lodges' largest facility and is
surrounded by Pinyon and Juniper woodlands, about 1/2 mile from the rim.
With modern rooms and many services within a few steps, this is a convenient
choice for families.Yavapai East offers 198 rooms with in-room air
conditioning, coffee, and refrigerator. Yavapai West offers 160 rooms that
are not air conditioned but feature vaulted ceilings with ceiling fans. The
Lodge is located next to the Market Plaza, which includes a general store,
bank, and U.S. Post Office. The National Park Service Visitor Center is
within a short walk - approximately 1/2 mile.
